An Assessment of the Sonik SKS Cark Rod Fishing Tackle
Wednesday, April 18th, 2012We carp anglers are teh elites of the fishing world. This is because the fish that we try to catch is a type that already has a long history of evolution that goes back thousands of years. In fact, carps are seen as sacred creatures in many Asian cultures. In ancient Chinese mythology, for example, there is a legend saying that if a carp can leap over a structure known as the Dragon’s gate, it will be transformed into a powerful dragon. The place of this rumored Dragon’s gate is the top of the waterfall which cascades its waters down from a steep mountain. This ancient story pays respect to the bravery and strength of this fish. I’ve come to know that the dragon is a very important symbol for the Chinese for its magical and great power. An adversary worthy of respect indeed! So, whenever I plan to go angling for carp, I always make sure that I bring the best fishing tackle I have. My favorite is my Sonik SKS rod. My reasons are provided below.
Fishing Tackle: Sonik SKS Carp Rod’s Major Features
This rod is packed with premium features despite of having a reasonable price of £65. SKS has a cult following of expert anglers. I always find myself reaching for it because of its solid build and forward-looking design. It’s good-looking as well, with a super-slim high modulus carbon blank that sports an elegant matte finish. Although the way a rod looks isn’t important to me, I do have to confess that this one is exceptionally attractive, especially because it’s backed by a sound design. This model has a good enough backbone that promises that you will have accurate casts. In addition, its soft tip allows me to play a fish safely close in, something I find quite exciting. It also has lightweight SIC guides and abbreviated handle that provides sure grip that is made of Duplon. Both the handle and the butt cap bear distinctive laser etching. The reel seat is graphite with a gunmetal hood and collar. This rod is as good looking as it feels when used!
Additional Information About the SKS Carp Rod Fishing Tackle
This fishing tackle offers a lifetime rod replacement warranty which I truly appreciate. In addition to this, its DPS graphite reel seat is a feature that is common among more expensive rods than this one. This rod has a regular price of about £65 but it can be bought for as little as £50 on the internet depending on its features and if there are special offers. Don’t simply let its price fool you, though. Despite of having an entry-level price, its quality is not less than premium rods. SKS is a relatively new model in a range of carp fishing tackle from Sonik, but has already gained the interest of many anglers. The rod’s subtle power makes it a joy to cast and its soft tip allows for greater control when playing fish. I also find it very likable that this rod has a tip that offers remarkable recovery speed.
