There are countries who have long winters and many individuals there do nothing else but wait for the melting of the ice. With this, they feel a great sense of boredom. Ice fishing can however can bring about an excitement during long and cold winters.
Ice fishing is just as fun and stimulating as that of fishing in other seasons, though it is of course very cold. Whenever the lakes are below zero degrees frozen, you can start ice fishing.

It is actually very simple. What you do is simply carve a whole out of the ice so you can gain access to the water beneath it. After which, using your fishing equipment, you need to make that hole a little wider so that you’ll be able to pull the fish through it.
Make sure you have the proper bait, which could either be a worm, a plastic lure or anything else that a fish might normally go after. It needs patience of course in waiting.
There are indications that you will see if the fish has eaten the bait that you have for them. While waiting, you can warm your cold body with anything hot. Of course you cannot just sit there being cold waiting for the fish to take the bait. If there are indications that a certain fish has eaten your bait, then, that’s wonderful. You can have the fish that you have reeled in as your lunch or perhaps dinner.
Long winters are best paired with ice fishing to add more excitement. Whenever you plan out to go ice fishing, just remember to take along with you all the necessary equipments and gears needed for fishing. Furthermore you need to have thick wool jackets so that you can stay warm during your ice fishing activity.
